#  GOTS at Organic Lifestyle EXPO 2018 in Tokyo, Japan

[GOTS](https://gots.vorschau.website/resources/glossary/gots "<p>The worldwide leading voluntary sustainability standard for the post-harvest textile value chain for certified organic fibres, covering environmental criteria, human rights, social criteria and business conduct.</p>") was official supporter of 3rd [Organic](https://gots.vorschau.website/resources/glossary/organic "<p>'Organic' is a regulated term used to distinguish systems of managed production and products derived therefrom that adhere to principles of health, ecology, fairness and care, and which are certified compliant to an organic standard's regulations by an Approved Certification Body. <br>GOTS defines organic textiles as being made with fibres from organic agriculture systems that are certified to one of the IFOAM Family of Standards, and that are processed in socially and ecologically responsible ways, in alignment with organic principles.</p>") Lifestyle EXPO held on 22nd and 23rd September 2018 at Tokyo International Forum (Tokyo). GOTS had a booth, and was also co-organizer of Organic Cotton Craft Market Zone.
Miyoshi Satoko, GOTS representative in Japan was a speaker at the seminar "Organic Lifestyle to achieve [SDGs](https://gots.vorschau.website/resources/glossary/sdgs "<p>The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030, all people enjoy peace and prosperity.</p>")" that was held on September 22nd. The venue was a huge success with more than 24,000 people visiting the EXPO in two days.
